Welcome to Mc Quay's Cafe 85

Mcquays cafe 85 has become one of the best known restaurants on Yarm high street, established for over 8 years now it has become synonymous with relaxed yet stylish dining. It has recently been undertaken by new management seeing the return of former head chef Simon Leadbetter who has taken the role of Chef Manager. Simon, who has spent the last four years building the reputation of raffles restaurant at the Croft Hotel near Darlington will now be overseeing all runnings of the restaurant and spends time both in the kitchen and front of house along side Restaurant manager Harzem Basal(Haz).

During the day the restaurant has very much of a cafe feel to it with Coffees, teas and homemade cakes being served as well as light lunch dishes. A two course lunch menu is also served for those looking for something slightly more formal.

In the evening the restaurant becomes a chic, modern dining room, low lighting, candles and fresh flowers on the tables all compliment the professional understated service. A full a la carte menu is available, based around local ingredients using modern techniques to create dishes with flare.

Monday to Thursday evenings Simon has also introduced a set price menu, offering three courses for, amazingly, £12.These menus still use fresh ingredients and interesting flavours which are proving a big hit amongst diners.

Mcquays Cafe 85 is open Monday to Saturday from 8.30 am until late, serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner.

Easter Sunday Open all day - 10am till late.
